System Analyst

Our Client is global technology company in downtown Boston is looking for a qualified, full time permanent  Systems Analyst will work closely with the business and technical teams who are responsible for critical internal systems that deliver content and metadata to customer-facing applications. In this role you define user requirements, understand business needs and bridge between business and technology. As an SA you have a strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues.
Task and Responsibilities:
  • Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with business owners to define and prioritize deliverables
  • Identifies business requirements and creates user stories. Recommends the fastest way to deliver value to the user and manages the backlog accordingly
  • Partners closely with content teams to understand and define the interactions between content and technology
  • Develops process and data flow diagrams, UI mockups, and other visual artifacts to better represent the requirements and their impact on overall system work-flow and architecture
  • Strong SQL Experience
  • Participates in, and sometimes leads, various Agile cadence meetings (stand-ups, demos, retros, backlog grooming, etc.)
  • Participates in exploratory and functional testing of various applications
Required Skills and Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • Experience working as a Functional, Data or Systems Analyst
  • Experience helping teams envision solutions using various visualization techniques and tools (e.g. Visio)
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Experience with database concepts and sql querying
  • Experience with Agile project management tools, such as JIRA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build alignment across functional areas and within cross-functional project teams
