Infrastructure Engineer

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll build systems and tools for a data analytics and machine learning platform. We’re looking for a engineer who can work seamlessly with other engineers, data scientists, data analysts, and product managers to take the infrastructure to the next level of scale and efficiency. The Engineering team is a highly collaborative, fast-paced, fun, and supportive environment, and the team is growing quickly -- this is a great opportunity to play a leadership role in IT/infrastructure.

You’ll work on:
  • Managing hardware and software deployments
  • Automating configuration management and other operations
  • Building tools that allow us to scale intensive data processing and machine learning workloads in the cloud
  • Monitoring and security
 Requirements
  • Experience working in a production environment
  • Expert Linux System Administration in server environment
  • Familiarity with web stack, nginx, haproxy, CDN, DSA
  • Familiarity with DNS, SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
  • Experience with advanced Linux system performance debugging (e.g., perf_events, eBPF, ftrace)
  • Familiarity with RAID and LVM
  • Experience with Cisco or Juniper switches and network protocols
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks (e.g., nagios)
  • Experience with automation/configuration management (e.g. puppet, chef, salt, etc.)
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Experience with low level debugging and performance profiling (e.g. valgrind, gdb, lsof, strace, /proc, etc.)
  • Intermediate or better skills with Python, Ruby, or other dynamic OO language
  • Knowledge of best practices for IT and security in production environment
  • Fast learner
